Modern Day Princess: #2

Hey guys! So you know my old post called Modern Day Princess? You know, the one where I found modern day outfits based on... er... princesses? Yeah, well, if you don't that's fine because you don't have to see the first post to understand this post. Anyway, last time I did Cinderella and Elsa. But today I'll be doing Belle and Pocahontas! Ready? Let's do this thing!


1. Belle
Since Belle was from France, it only makes sense the top we're using has a french saying on it, right? Oui, oui! The top is from Zara. Now, for the pants we had to go with nothing but vintage! And a floral vintage pattern is perfect for France! (Found in Johnnie B) Just what shoes would work? Hmm... Belle likes to walk around town a lot, and she's not exactly a girly-girl, so Tom's would be perfect!







2. Pocahontas
Pocahontas wore an animal skin dress. Obviously, we do NOT expect you to be wearing an animal skin dress--unless it was faux cheetah or zebra print or something--so why don't you try something more 21st century. We just ADORE this tribal headdress! And the coolest part is the buttons down the back! (From Nordstrom) The dress that you see below the sweater is from Forever 21 Girls. Now, this is something that we have never done before, but I saw my friend do it and I really liked it! Put the sweater over the dress and BOOM! The dress is a skirt! And the best part is that if you get hot and sweaty in the sweater you can take it off and you practically have a new outfit on underneath! For the shoes, these babies are heaven! I don't have the exact pair shown, but I have a pair of Minnetonka's and they are so comfy! Plus, they are totally something that Pocahontas would wear!
